Working with project leader Caroline Flagiello, I developed a name for a UCSF healthcare conference that captured the excitement around genetic medicine. The conference brought together scientists, geneticists, computer experts, ecomonists and health care specialists to help map a new future. Ome alludes to the genome, the one-ness of the collaborative event, the Hindu sense of "embracing all that exists." So yeah, it seemed to capture the profound changes and revelations that the genetic revolution will bring.
